Compiling with Open Watcom Compiler

This was successfully tested with the OpenWatcom Compiler (version 1.x) - available for free from http://www.openwatcom.org/download/download_licenses.html

1) Build the wxWidgets library if required

Modify your c:\autoexec.bat file to include lines like this: (check if the wxWidgets installer has done it for you)
set wxwin=c:\wxWidgets

To build the library, run a command window, go to the %WXWIN%\src\msw directory and type:

wmake -f makefile.wat clean
wmake -f makefile.wat
You should find that the %WXWIN%\lib directory now has a set of *_w.lib files

To build the stc library, go to the %WXWIN%\contrib\src\stcdirectory and type:

wmake -f makefile.wat clean
wmake -f makefile.wat
You should find that the stc library has been built

2) Build wxHatch

To build the wxHatch.exe, go to the wxhatch directory and type

copy 24makefiles\makefile.wat .
wmake -f makefile.wat clean

wmake -f makefile.wat all

This will generate wxhatch.exe

On to using the program
