Making wxHatch with Cygwin gcc for MS Windows

I have successfully built  wxhatch with versions 2.6.2 and 2.8.6 of wxWidgets and the Cygwin package, obtained using the Cygwin setup program :

1) Build the wxWidgets library if required

In the bash shell window, go to the wxWidgets directory, and type (Note that not all versions of cygwin's gcc require --disable-precomp-headers).
Go to the  wxWidgets/contrib/src/stc directory and build the styled text control library by typing
This will build the default configuration. For other configurations, see the  wxWidgets installation instructions
2) Build wxHatch
Go to the wxhatch directory. You just need to convert the configure file to a format that cygwin will understand, and then run configure with the relative path to the main wxWidgets directory, eg type
dos2unix configure
configure --with-wxWINDIR=../wxWidgets
make
If configure cannot find the wxWidgets files, error messages will be generated.
To run wxhatch, you need to add the shared wxWidgets DLL to your path; for the MSYS sh shell
export PATH=$PATH:../wxWidgets/lib
./wxhatch &
Notes:
To avoid having to add the extra path to run wxhatch, you need to make a static wxWidgets library; so return to the wxWidgets directory and do:
Then use configure --with-wxWINDIR=../wxWidgets and make in the wxhatch directory to build wxhatch
On to using the program
